Packing and Shipping your radio inbound for repair

We recommend original boxes for safe transport. We also realize that sometimes these original boxes are no longer with the radio or are too tattered to use. In this case, please, please, please pack your transceiver safely! 2 inches of bubble wrap on all sides should be considered minimum. Double boxed with bubble wrap is better yet. No piece of the radio case should ever be closer than two inches from the outside box. Fill the remainder of the box with packing peanuts so the bubble wrapped radio is suspended in the peanuts, in the box. Typically we use a new 10x18x20 cardboard box to ship TS440, TS790. TS850 and similar. If you look at the cardboard box and wonder if it is big enough to safely ship your precious cargo in, it probably is too small to safely use.
