You are buying the REPAIR SERVICE of YOUR R5000 receiver.
After your purchase of this service, you will have to make shipping arrangements to get your R5000 to us in Green Bay, Wisconsin 54313. Full address details as well as concise shipping instructions will follow your purchase in a separate email.
This radio will come back to you in excellent working condition – just completely aligned and the dot problem will have been eliminated. The power supply capacitors will be replaced. We will also replace the internals of the keypad – the membrane is new and the keypad contacts are the ones in your radio. Depending upon the internal condition of your keypad, this fix will remedy 90% plus of the key-bounce issues (in many cases key-bounce will be eliminated). Memory battery will be brand new. If you have any other special requests, please let us know! We recommend the LED meter light replacement and we will be happy to include this at your request.
As with all of our radios / transceivers, all known issues will have been addressed on your receiver. This means that the dot problem will have been eliminated, power supply capacitors replaced, keybounce fixed as well as memory battery replacement and full alignment.
This unit will come back to you UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail within 30 days (probably considerably less) – guaranteed fully operational. Our technical staff is very well versed in this equipment and they will have inspected, tested, lubricated and repaired (if necessary) your transceiver. As such, we assure you that your equipment will arrive fully operational and we will guarantee it for 30 days against any defect whatsoever. If you have ANY problem, we will take the unit back and repair or replace it immediately.

We have sold a number of Kenwood transceiver’s in the last year, as well as parts and accessories for these radios. Please check our feedback and you will find that we have not had a dissatisfied customer!
Due to the nature of this service, we must reserve the right to deny service to any unit that would be obviously beyond repair. This would include units that have been damaged internally by significant lightning strikes or salt water immersion or similar. If we cannot repair your transceiver, we will return it to you and refund your purchase price.
